Greek Finance Minister Christos Staikouras will attend the Eurogroup and Ecofin meetings in Brussels on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

The Eurogroup ministers will overview the general state of the member-states’ budgets and the economic prospects of the Eurozone, while they will discuss the European Commission’s proposals to the European Council of the economic policy to follow in the Eurozone, among other agenda issues.

They will also discuss the first post-program surveillance report on Greece, which was successfully concluded about 10 days ago, and decide on implementing the agreed-on measures to relieve the Greek debt since required reforms have been implemented.

At Ecofin, the finance ministers of EU member-states will discuss progress on the Recovery and Resilience Fund’s implementation, and the specific fund application on Hungary, as well as support for Ukraine, and the EU’s budget for 2023, among other issues.
