Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who is conducting a two-day tour in Achaia, Peloponnese, visited the town of Egio on Tuesday.

“The dilemma is: will we continue to move forward or will we turn back? Will we continue on a course of growth, which creates jobs, improves the citizens’ income and attracts investments or will we turn back to times that we want to forget for good:  A time of referendums, closed banks and pensioners crying in front of ATMs,” Mitsotakis said while talking to citizens during the first stop on his tour.

Referring to a number of government initiatives relating to the economy, national issues, energy issues, to the creation of a social state and the support of the most vulnerable citizens, especially over the consecutive and simultaneous crises of the last three years, Mitsotakis added: “Do not take any of the things we have achieved for granted. One wrong choice can send us back and because the coming elections have a special character, I do not want you mixing up the first and second rounds. There is one election, a national election, and we will ain frin the first round to get the best possible result. Because a single-party majority for New Democracy in the parliament means a guarantee of stability” he said.

This stability, in turn, is an essential condition for growth and the country’s progress, he added.
