The government strove for an optimal epidemiological picture with the strict lockdown this week, so that the children can return to the classrooms, Education and Religions Minister Niki Kerameus said on Tuesday in an interview with ANT1 TV. “Our priority is for children to return to school,” she said, adding that the government and the ministry were proceeding “step by step in the management of the pandemic.”

Regarding vaccinations for teachers and when they will take place, the minister announced that they will be given priority, as they will be vaccinated before the general population. As she noted, priority will be given especially to at-risk teachers with underlying conditions.
