An extensive plan for mass coronavirus vaccinations and the relevant information campaign for citizens, were discussed at an e-meeting held on Saturday by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with key ministers and health experts.

A multifaceted plan for receiving, storing and distributing the vaccines, how to best inform citizens about their availability and booking appointments at vaccination centers, were all discussed in detail, was reported.

Moreover, all the necessary preparations will be completed by year’s end, so that vaccinations can begin immediately after official approval by the European Union, was added.
Earlier in the week, the government estimated that Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine will be approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) on -or by- December 31.
