President of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to pay offiicial visit to Greece

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi will pay an official visit to Greece at the invitation of President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 November.

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will receive the Egyptian President on Tuesday evening on behalf of the Greek government.

Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi will meet with the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, and with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

This will be the first visit of a top Egyptian official to Athens after the signing of the agreement between Greece and Egypt on the delimitation of the two countries’ Exclusive Economic Zone in Cairo in August 2020, between the Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry.

On Wednesday, the  Egyptian President will lay a wreath at the monument of the Unknown Soldier and afterwards he will go to the Presidential Mansion to meet with President Sakellaropoulou.

Later, he will meet with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Mansion, while in the evening President Sakellaropoulou will host an official dinner in his honour.
Finally, on Thursday morning the President of Egypt will meet with Parliament President Constantinos Tasoulas.
