Greece will use all means to protect its national sovereignty and integrity, State Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis said on Sunday in an interview with Realnews.
On Turkey’s accusations of Greek violence against refugees and migrants, Gerapetritis said that this is propaganda and it is “totally false and motivated.”
“Not only do the Greek Armed Forces and the Security Forces not use excessive force, but they show full respect for international law as well as high professionalism.”
Referring to the government’s plan to build closed type accommodation facilities for the refugees, the State Minister said that it is the only solution that can bring tangible results, adding that the government however is looking forward to the local community’s alternative proposals “that will be examined in the context of our commitments to European and International Law.”
