Government suspends operation of all places of worship until March 30

“The government has decided that the operation of all places of worship, regardless of religion or dogma, is suspended. Churches will remain open only for individual prayer,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis posted on Twitter.
“The protection of public health requires clear decisions,” he stressed.
Earlier, Education and Religions Minister Niki Kerameus had announced the suspension of operation of all places of worship. Only funerals and individual prayer will be allowed, she said.
Measures will apply from March 16 to March 30.
