General Sec for Civil Protection introduces plan to address possible activation of Santorini volcano

The General Secretariat for Civil Protection issued a plan for addressing the consequences of a possible activation of Santorini volcano.

As a secreteriat official clarified to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, the specific plan named “Talos” is part of an overall plan for the preparation of all state mechanism and the shielding of he country against any danger and natural disaster. In the case of Santorini volcano, there is no indication of an activation.

In the same framework are included the first two plans presented last November with the code names “Dardanos” and “Iolaos” on flooding and fires respectively.
