Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos will reveal his intentions about the new chief justices after June 30, sources at the presidency said on Friday evening.

  • A cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras earlier proposed the replacements of the president of the country’s Supreme Court and its chief prosecutor, positions currently held by judges whose tenure runs out on June 30.

Asked what Pavlopoulos’ intentions are once he receives the cabinet’s draft order for the new justices, the sources said, “You will learn what the president intends to do when the order is released.”
