Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) on Friday launched an international tender to sell its 30 pct stake in Athens International Airport SA.

  • The tender process will be in two stages: a pre-selection phase and a binding offer submission phase. Candidates will be able to express interest by September 30, 2019.

The airport development contract envisages a ceiling in the transfer of equity stakes of the Athens International Airport. Deutsche Bank AG (London) and Eurobank Ergasias act as financial advisors, Your Legal Partners and Drakopoulos-Vasalakis act as legal advisors and Arup Partnership as technical advisor for HRADF.

  • The Athens International Airport was founded in 1996 for the construction, maintenance and operation of the airport for a period 30 years.

In February 2019, a contract was signed extending the period for another 20 years to June 11, 2046. The airport is the biggest in the country, with a passenger traffic of 24 million a year.
