SYRIZA’s policies focuses on the needs of the society, Labour Minister Achtsioglou says

“The SYRIZA government was the only one that had a clear plan to exit the crisis,” Labour Minister Effie Achtsioglou said on Monday in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).

  • She underlined that only SYRIZA can guarantee simultaneously the development of the Greek economy, the upgrading of the country’s international position and the support of the society and added that SYRIZA’s policies focus on the needs of the society and the support of the employees and pensioners.

Achtsioglou levelled against the leader of the main opposition claiming that “Mitsotakis’ political positions and announcements prove that he wants to lead the country and the citizens to the dark past of the memoranda.”

  • The Labour Minister stressed that SYRIZA “was and is a party of the radical left and does not claim to become a centre-left or social-democratic party, despite the fact that KINAL’s cooperation with New Democracy leaves a gap in this political area.”

But “what SYRIZA seeks (…) is the cooperation with as many progressive political forces as possible in order to put an end to the rise of the right-wing populism in Greece and Europe.”
