Still time for Greece to meet criteria for 1.0 bln euros disbursement, Eurozone source says

Eurozone technocrats are waiting for the institutions’ assessment of the draft bill on primary residence protection so that they can reach a decision on whether to disburse almost one billion euros to Greece at the April 5 Eurogroup in Bucharest, a Eurozone source said on Thursday.
According to the Eurozone official, negotiations between the institutions and Greek authorities are continuing as some points, especially as regards business loans, remain to be clarified.

“ It is up to the institutions to say whether the criteria for disbursement have been met. Up to this point this has not happened but there is still a little time,” the official added.
Asked what will happen if a decision for disbursement is not possible at the Eurogroup on April 5, the official said that the decision will be taken when all the criteria are fulfilled, at the corresponding session.

Given that the next disbursement returning the profits made by European central banks on Greek bonds is scheduled to take place in June, the official said the two tranches could possibly be combined if a decision has not been reached until that time but warned that this will not make things easier, necessarily, since there will be new conditions.
