The gap between SYRIZA and New Democracy (main opposition) in polls exists only in Mr. Mitsotakis’ (Kyriakos, New Democracy leader) imagination, said State Minister and government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos in an interview with the newspaper Real News on Saturday
On the discussion for the reduction of the primary surpluses, he reminded that the current government claimed and succeeded a reduction to the primary surpluses targets.
- On the protection of the first residence, Tzanakopoulos said that the new protection framework will be voted very soon at the Greek parliament after the completion of the technical elaboration and in agreement with the surveillance institutions.
Asked on the issue of the formation of a progressive social pole, he said that after the Prespes Agreement and Movement for Change’s (KINAL) alignment with the Right, a large part of the traditional supporters of the Centre-Left are turning to SYRIZA”. We have no reason to be reluctant towards this approach. We are seeking the dialogue and the rallying with a clear political goal which is the interception of the reinstatement of Mr. Mitsotakis mutant Right and the defeat of the austerity supporters in Greece and in Europe”.
