Foreign investors raised their participation in Greek stock market in February




Foreign investors raised their participation in the capitalization of the Greek stock market in February to 65.5 pct from 64.8 pct in January, official figures showed on Wednesday.

Including the participation of Hellenic Financial Stability Fund in the market (973.99 million euros or 2.5 pct), foreign investors’ participation was 63.9 pct in February from 63.8 pct in January. Greek investors held 36.1 pct of the market’s capitalization.

Foreign investors were net buyers with capital inflows of 16.91 million euros, while they accounted for 52 pct of total transactions (down from 61.4 pct in January). The value of transactions totaled 886.79 million euros in February, up 6.5 pct from January but down 28.3 pct from February last year. Average daily turnover was 44.34 million euros, up from 37.86 million in January but down from 65.05 million in February 2018.
