Interior Minister Alexis Charitsis presented the Left’s targets and priorities for the local authority in his article to the Sunday edition of Avghi newspaper on Saturday.

He said that the aim for the local administration should be a more and more collective and cooperative self government.

The minister is in favour of a strategy with “social and ecological sign for the development of the real estate that belong to the municipalities and the regions”.

Charitsis underlined the importance of “a solidarity and social economy” as well as enhanced structures for social support.

Finally, he noted that the welfare operations at municipal and regional level should develop, “which should link with the other public services”.
