Statement by Labour Minister Effie Achtsioglou to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) on the increase of the minimum wage and the abolition of the sub-minimum wage:
“Today we are taking a big step towards the recovery of the labour market in our country.
Today a new period begins for young workers in this place.
A period with more rights, more dignity.
With the increase in the minimum wage and the abolition of the sub-minimum wage, we are restoring part of the austerity policies deprived of the workers.
And this is an act of justice.”
