Trust in Justice can’t be a la carte, parliament president, Voutsis, says

The trust in Justice can’t be a la carte, said parliament president, Nikos Voutsis , referring to the Novartis case in an interview with Ethnos newspaper on Saturday.

Voutsis noted the need the Greek parliament and the political system to encourage the Justice to investigate and substantiate all the cases in time and expressed his opposition over the “manipulation and offsetting trends or the targeting of judges”.

He said that the government’s stability will not be at risk if the Independent Greeks (ANEL) decide to withdraw from the government and estimated that “even if the main opposition tables a motion of censure, it will not have any luck”.

Voutsis said that the current government wants to exhaust its four-year term adding that snap elections are not in the prime minister’s plans.

He also said that the report on the German reparations, drawn up by the responsible parliamentary committee, will be probably tabled in parliament by the end of January.
