“Significant efforts are being made to cope with a shortage of staff in local administration,” Interior Minister Alexis Charitsis said on Friday, during a conference.
He explained that local authorities had been among the main victims of the crisis, while adding that these efforts are always in compliance with the fiscal limitations and the new financial capabilities that are now emerging.
Referring to Constitutional review, he ruled out any surprises and said that changes will be discussed with local government first.
