Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, receiving the first four volumes of the “Cyprus File” from Parliament President Nikos Voutsis on Wednesday, said that this was a day with special historic significance.

He said that now “every citizen will be able to look up the historic facts that left their mark on Greece’s modern history.” The prime minister said the “a complete knowledge of history, even if this history hurts us, is a lesson for future generations and for the political life of the country, which must understand the mistakes of the past and avoid them in the future”.

On his part, Voutsis said that these are the first four volumes out of a total of 30 or 32 that will be published in the next two years, at a rate of approximately one volume per month.
