Benoit Coeure’s statements strengthen the Greek economy’s stability, says Dimitris Papadimoulis

The statements by European Central Bank (ECB) executive board member Benoit Coeure on behalf of the ECB are another ‘certification’ that strengthens the stability and recovery of the Greek economy, European Parliament Vice President Dimitris Papadimoulis said on Friday to “105.5 Sto Kokkino” radio station.
According to the head of SYRIZA europarliament group, the normally restrained Coeure made a clear and positive statement over the upward momentum of the Greek economy, the healthy state of Greece’s finances and the country’s positive prospects.
Papadimoulis, among others, said that the IMF preceded Coeure’s statements, which had positively reviewed its forecast for the Greek economy, their growth course, public finances and the debt’s reduction course while similar statements have been made by rating agencies, the European Commission and IMF’s head Christine Lagarde.
He also underlined that the government has parliament’s confidence and urged main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis to submit a motion of censure.
