Kofi Annan worked with zeal for the strengthening of UN’s role, says President Pavlopoulos

“Kofi Annan leaves to the international community, and particularly to his successors in the United Nations, the legacy a secretary general that worked with zeal but also with prudence for the strengthening of UN’s role, mostly in the consolidation of the international peace” stated Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos in a statement on Saturday on the death of former UN secretary general Kofi Annan.
