New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis meets EU commissioner Gunther Oettinger

Main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis met on Thursday with EU Commissioner for Budget and Human Resources Gunther Oettinger.
They discussed Greece’s share in the new European budget, which gives each government the opportunity to use 5 pct on investment activities of its own choice.
Mitsotakis said that the new EU budget is bold and referred to the increased funds for migration. He also said that the programme funds will be handed out on the basis of the proposals submitted by each country and pointed out that competition for them is open for research programmes organised by Greek and foreign universities.
