A light quake measuring 4 on the Richter scale was recorded at 04:00 in the sea region of the northern Aegean, said the Geodynamics Institute of Athens National Observatory.

According to the institute, the quake’s epicentre was located 251 km northeast of Athens and 35km southwest of Mytilene, Lesvos island.

No damages or injuries have been reported.
