For the first time, Greece has a detailed long-term development plan, says Katrougalos

It’s the first time in Greek history the country “has a detailed development plan with specific dates showing how we want Greece to be in the next decades, not just next year,” Alternate Foreign Minister responsible for European affairs, Giorgos Katrougalos, said on Wednesday to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency’s radio station Praktoreio 104,9 FM.

Asked about the progress of negotiations with FYROM on the name issue, the minister noted that he remains cautiously optimistic about the prospect of an agreement because “both sides – both prime ministers and foreign ministers – want a solution and it will be mutually beneficial for both countries to have a solution.”

Regarding the names at the negotiating table, he noted that “it is reasonable to focus on Nimetz’s proposals, because these have been worked on the most.”
