Economy and Development Minister Yiannis Dragasakis met with representatives from Greece’s banks on Friday where they discussed the boosting of bank liquidity and the financing of the Greek economy with new tools.

In the meeting, Dragasakis highlighted that the country’s financial system and banks are secure after the latest round of stress tests by European bank regulators they were subjected to.

The minister also spoke with the bank representatives about the «Golden Visa» program for foreign investors and changes the government is preparing on the law, broadening its criteria.

In regards to red loans held by the lenders, the bank representatives said they will continue to support ways allowing customers to pay back money under more favorable terms and support those consistently making loan installments.
