Conditions for an agreement on June 15 Eurogroup exist, Tzanakopoulos says

The conditions for an agreement at the Eurogroup of June 15 exist, government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos said on Wednesday in statements to Real FM.

Asked whether Greece is in the same situation as in May 2015, Tzanakopoulos said: We are not in the same position, there is no such intention on the part of anyone, nor on the part of the Greek government. We are working on a solution on June 15 that will satisfy all sides.”

Greece will not accept proposals that leave open question of IMF’s participation in program, says minister

Greece will not accept any proposals that will leave unanswered the question of the International Monetary Fund’s involvement in the country’s program, Deputy Finance Minister Katerina Papanatsiou said on Tuesday, speaking at a parliamentary committee debating a draft bill that incorporates EU law on exchange of tax information between EU states.

“I think we have done what we were obliged to do. Now the other side must fulfill its own obligation. We are not going to accept any proposal that will leave gaps as to the participation or not of the IMF in the program,” she said.

“We are aiming for a clear solution at the Eurogroup on June 15, in order to open the road for the country’s inclusion in the quantitative easing program,” she added.
