President Pavlopoulos sends message of unity and solidarity to Greek people

Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos on Sunday sent a message of unity, understanding and solidarity to the Greek people from the city of Ioannina, Epirus.

Pavlopoulos is visiting Ioannina for the celebration of the 103rd anniversary of the liberation of the city from the Turks on 21 February 1913.

“The history of Epirus is an integral part of the history of our Nation, the Nation of the Greeks,” Pavlopoulos stated and pointed out the true national characteristics of Epirus and its people from the post-Byzantine period onwards, that send rather instructive messages for the people and nation.
