Athenians defy crisis to shop on last Sunday of 2015

Many Athenians took advantage of the good weather and open stores on the last Sunday of the year to visit major commercial streets in the city and do some last minute shopping, shop owners said.
“Work is more than satisfactory so far,” businessman George Zoulovits who owns jewelry stores with the same name told ANA – MPA.
“There are a lot of people and they are not just looking at shop windows, but they go into the stores and shop. The same applies to our own store here in Ermou, where traffic and turnover have quite increased. Of course, shopping is less than in other times, but considering the difficult economic situation, we must not complain,” he added.
