Cyprus’ problem is a disgrace for the international community, says President Pavlopoulos

The Cyprus’ problem is a disgrace for the international community, stressed the President of the Greek Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos in a meeting with the President of Cyprus Parliament Yiannakis Omirou who represented Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades who is currently abroad.

Pavlopoulos who is paying a one-day visit to Cyprus also noted that the European Union accepts the violation of basic rules and norms of the European law. It also accepts, as he said, the violation of its borders and of its EEZ.

The solution of the Cyprus problem, noted Pavlopoulos, needs to provide the structure of a federal state with a single entity, a single sovereignty, a single citizenship and to be compatible with the European and the international law.”
