Greek FM Kotzias arrives in Cyprus on Monday




Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will visit Cyprus between 26-28 October for talks with top government officials, the Archbishop, parliamentary parties and social players.

The official visit, his first since the assumption of his duties, starts on Monday with a meeting with his Cypriot counterpart, Foreign Minister Ioannis Kassoulides.

Kotzias will then have a meeting with Archbishop of Cyprus, Chrysostomos Β`. Later on he will meet with representatives of refugee organisations, relatives of missing peoples and a delegation of enclaved Greek Cypriots (living in northern Turkish occupied Cyprus).

On Tuesday, the Greek Foreign Minister will be received by Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades. He will then visit the House of Representatives where he will meet House President Yiannakis Omirou and representatives of parliamentary parties.

On October 28th, Kotzias will represent the Greek government at a parade in Nicosia, marking the day Greece refused to meet the terms of an ultimatum from Rome to allow Italian troops into the country in 1940. Greece fought against the Italian offensive and entered the 2nd World War on the side of the Allied Powers.

He returns to Athens later that day.
