Gov’t spokesman Tzanakopoulos rules out possibility of a 4th Greek programme

State Minister and government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos on Thursday ruled out the possibility of a fourth programme for Greece, when the current programme comes to an end in August 2018.
“The possibility of a fourth programme is totally ruled out by all sides, nobody wants it,” he said in an interview with 247 radio station.
Tzanakopoulos said that the discussion on the post-memorandum era has not begun yet and that when it does, it should be carried out in low-key and calm conditions. He underlined that the freedom of the Greek government will significantly increase after August 2018.
The spokesman clarified that, based on the Eurogroup decisions, there is no need for either a precautionary credit line or Enhanced Conditions Credit Line for Greece after August 2018, saying that the country must negotiate a framework of fiscal surveillance in the context of the existing EU and Eurozone institutions, with the European Commission having a dominant role.
